Sailwave Download page - This file is a Windows executible. so you don't need anything additional to install it. Once you have downloaded this file and installed it, you will then need to download the Portsmouth Numbers file. This is the file to download: uspn2003.csv (Contributed by Jamie Diamond). Save this file into the directory: C:\Program Files\Sailwave\Ratings You should then, before every regatta, print out the current Portsmouth numbers and modifications. In this way you can create new entries for new boats. To do so you will add a new line item within the same format to the excel file. Then reload the Portsmouth numbers into Sailwave. Tips: Enter all times completely, i.e. hh:mm:ss Sailrace File Name: sailrace.zip File Size: 225 KB This file is zipped, so you will need to unzip it with Winzip once it is downloaded. It runs on any machine. I left some of our old events in there so you can see what it looks like. Installation Create a directory on your machine called sailrace. Unzip this attachment and put all files in that directory. To start Sailrace You MUST launch it from a dosshell window (dosprompt). From the sailrace directory that you created, type in sailrace Portsmouth Numbers You are responsible for checking your own ratings, as we only update the #'s for the boats that we encounter, and these numbers are from my desktop, so a bit old. Before every event, I recommend doing a printout of the numbers, and ensuring what you have is accurate for the boats in the event when entering in the registration information.
