Question: Are spectra trapeze wires accepted at the F18 Canadian National Championship?
Response: YES. From the canF18 Class Association.

CanF18 and NAF18 membership dues

Question: Some of our American counterparts are asking if they need to pay CanF18, even though they are American and have paid NAF18.
Response: Answer: CONFIRMED FOR 2010 BY CANF18 CLASS ASSOCIATION. If NAF18 fee paid, you are good to go.

How do you know who has paid their class dues?

Carbon Snuffer Rule – Can we get an official rule waiver?

Question: Some of the Nacra F18 have end-pole snuffers with the carbon "toilet seat" ring.  The grandfather clause for this in the F18 rules has expired. Would it be possible to waive this rule in order to get more boats at the event?

GPS and Compass Rule

Question: Someone was telling me that all boats have to have a compass on board, and that it is mandatory. I don’t remember this being the case, is it really mandatory?
Answer: CONFIRMED FOR 2010 BY CANF18 CLASS ASSOCIATION NOT MANADATORY FOR THIS EVENT.

Sail Measurer

Question: I am guessing that we need an official sail measurer for people that are using non factory sails. Can you tell me if there is an official sail measurer, because I guess we need to find out if they are coming and able to provide this service.
Answer: I can get the measurement information from Europe and forward it to a local sail maker that is equipped to deal with this. Sailors are must be responsible for their own equipment.
