Leg 8: 8:52 AM - They just arrived, 14 hours of beating upwind. "Ah, but it is good to be alive!"
Leg 8 (night leg) - Isle of Palms, SC to Myrtle Beach, SC - 86.3 statute miles.
Estimated arrival time is midnight to 5 AM on Monday.

8:52 AM, Mike Walker:
The team has arrived (8:17 AM), exhausted but satisfied. Scott is in the shower now.
We're still waiting on Cat Fever, Outer Banks, Fully Involved and Redhook Ale.
Beating upwind lasted 14 hours for some of the teams!
9:50 AM:
The last boat, Outer Banks, pulled in at 9:35 AM. Everyone is safe, now off to sleep.
The next leg is to Wrightsville Beach, NC, an 80 mile leg. The teams get to rest until tomorrow morning (Tuesday) where they depart Myrtle Beach at 10 AM. The teams have survived the grueling night legs.
