Talk to the Team
All
Thanks for all the great wishes. This is a 2 year project, and we plan to
be at this again next year.
I've passed on all your messages to the team. Currently, they are running
without much sleep, as the nights have been late, and the starts still at
10AM. I will ask that Reigh and Scott reply to your wishes once they get
some serious sleep.
Mike Walker
Felicitations... for a good race. we are proud of you... will see you soon at the shop. au plaisir de vous revoir bientot... Pierre Forand. Hi Congratulations on your result. Had some fun times racing you guys. I remember well the leg to Cocoa when you blew over the top of us. You were really moving. You were leaving us all standing until you got the gust and wave from hell and went swimming. Wish I had a camera. Great to hear you are coming back next year. Regards
To: "THE DINGHY SHOP CREW" A FANTASTIC PERFORMANCE by everyone!! We know we might be considered biased, being very proud parents - but you all did yourselves proud. We were privileged to gain a little insight into what must have been a wonderful, exhilarating, exhausting, nerve wracking, physical and emotional draining experience. And everyone’s contribution was important!!!, but special kudos to Scott and Reigh who went out to sea daily, risking ribs and heads and put forth a great effort and attained great achievement. All the more outstanding when so many competitors never finished in their first three or four years in the Worrell 1000. OUTSTANDING !!! Heather and Ian Macdonald Thank you Karen for a great job with the web page. We were into the site MANY, MANY times. Hi Reigh and Scott - GREAT RACING - WHEW -boat speed to burn - Really enjoyed meeting you and some great racing during this crazy 1000 mile event - Hope to see you again soon , we all have some great sailing stories to share. All the best -
Scott, Congratulations on the great finishing position you had in the race. It must have been very exciting and exhausting for you. Let me know when you are coming to the Tick so I can bake a victory apple pie for you. Patsy (Ross) P.S...... I am glad that you didn't finish first, because then I would feel obligated to deliver it to you in Vancouver. Hello Scott and Reigh What a great showing. You must have done a lot of practising off Tofino in the middle of the winter!!! Let us know when we can hear all about it.
Brian & Margaret Aldous

Can't wait to hear more Phyl & Dan Gaskell Hey Scott and Reigh We've been following you on the web site. Good going guys. Kathy, Tori and Chris MacDonald Dear Reigh....I am so-o-o-o PROUD of you. And Cody said last night how proud your dad would have been too. I've been printing off all the info and showing it to everyone here at work. You're doing a fabulous job representing our country and our family. Take care....and GIVE 'EM HELL!! Love...Auntie Junie Punie PS...I'm glad I'm not packin' spinnaker on this trip! This from Brian Hill, Chief Meteorologist at 680news in Toronto. I wish you had better wind the last couple of days. Too bad. I have talked about your sailing on the air in Toronto and sent Mike Walker's reports out to all our 680news weather observers.. over 50 of them... across the province. They love the pictures and wish you all the best. I see that my former TV station, CH 3 WTKR Norfolk, the CBS-TV affiliate, has been doing live shots about the race. That's great. Good luck in my old stomping grounds of Virginia Beach. Bye,
680news, All News Radio,
Reigh, Scott & Kevin: Just a note to let you know that we are all cheering for you. Best of luck in the last legs. Russell Moldowan Great effort you guys. Way to go. Can't wait to hear the stories of your excellent adventure. Norm and Elis Eldridge Hi Reigh & Scott: We've been following the race, and are proud of your accomplishment, keep the sail up and hopefully you'll get a good wind in your sail for the rest of the race. With the extra support that has arrived today from Canada it will hopefully give you a boost and a good cheering section as you finish each leg of the race. Best wishes for the rest of the race and good luck "DINGHY SHOP" or "TEAM CANADA". Gail & Jack Kadwell (Northern Ontario) Hi guys! Thanks Reigh and Scott for going so fast and trucking through those big waves... (as if the ones in English Bay, Vancouver are good practice for this kinda stuff !!!) you give me lots to talk about at the pub these last few days! Thanks to you too, Catherine, for keeping the boys going strong both mentally and physically. The whole team is worth _huge_ as far as I'm concerned. A big hats-off to all of you! Hugs, JP & Kris LeBerg Hey guys! Thought this fit somehow! "THE LIFE OF A MODERN BUCCANEER" "Ever taken a trip at sea where the company aboard was dull and dead......You have? Well, then, you know what it's like, eh?.....on land, if you don't like the company, you can seek better mates elsewhere,..on shipboard, do your darnedest and you can't get away from 'em.....give me a lively, companionable crowd of shipmates, and I don't care how long or how stormy the cruise.... A genial lot of shipmates and a long cruise........what more can any man ask for at sea?" Count Felix von Luckner, "The Sea Devil", 1928 Hard to find the words to say how very proud I am of you both!!!
Love to all of you,
Hello from Jose in Brazil, Hi guys, I've been following the races somewhat and I must say that this is a grueling event. Holy s***, some of the legs of the event have to be done at night on a cat.
