Team Dinghy Shop - An All Canadian Team

The racing team consists of two members:

  • Reigh North (Westminster, Canada):
    an experienced helmsman with over 25 years racing experience
  • Scott MacDonald (Vancouver, Canada):
    an experienced crewman with over 15 years yachting experience

The Shore Team

  • Mike Walker: Manager of Team Dinghy Shop.
    In the 2000 Worrell 1000, Mike Walker managed Team Korz/Murray, he brings first hand experience managing a successful Worrell team.
  • Assistant Manager and Pusher - Kevin Tuulos (also backup crew if needed)
  • Catherine Howell - Nutritionist fitness and general assistant to all
  • Vic Bolton (Vancouver, Canada) - owner of Granville Island Boat Yards
  • Tammy Preast (Vancouver, Canada) - wife of Vic Bolton

Skipper - Reigh North has as successes and credentials

  • 3rd place in the 2000 Hobie 18 Continental Championships
  • 1st place in the 2000 NAHCA Division 12 Championships
  • 2nd place in the 1999 Southern Straights Race
  • 2nd place in the 1998 Pan American Games Trials, Kingston, ON, Canada
  • 1st place in the 1997 Hobie 18 Continental Championships

Crew - Scott MacDonald, an experienced partner

  • Scott, for the past 15 years has been an accomplished crew in all aspects of yachting
  • He is owner of The Dinghy Shop, a sailing specialty store located in Vancouver, Canada. The Dinghy Shop is the local dealer for Performance Catamarans (Inter, Nacra, Prindle), Hobie Cat and Vanguard.

Manager - Michael K. Walker

  • Mike managed Team Korz/Murray to a successful finish in the 2000 Worrell 1000. Sue Korzeniewski is the 1st female skipper to race in this extreme event.
  • 1st place in the 1995 Hobie 18 Continental Championship
  • 1st place in the 1995 Hobie 18 Division Championship
  • 27th placein the 1999 Hobie 20 Continental Championship
  • Manager of Legato’s Critical Response Team

Davis Murray (of Team Korz/Murray, 2000 Worrell team) has joined Team Cat Fever (skipper Todd Hart) as part of his shore crew and alternative boat crew for the 19th annual Worrell 1000.
